My Background
I have a BFA degree in Communication Art and Design from Virginia Commonwealth University located in Richmond, Virginia U.S.A.
I also have a Masters degree in Graphic Communication Systems from North Carolina A&T State University located in Greensboro, N.C. U.S.A.
In addition to commissioned portrait work, my talent extends to creating fine art pieces as well as teaching. The Drawing Academy is the realization of a vision shown to me many years ago. I Can Draw Absolutely Anything!
Here in this web site, I chose to primarily showcase my black & white portrait work. Generally people tend to put more value in the fact that an artist can draw someone to look “just like’em”! without tracing. (By the way, I don’t use any type of tracing methods, it’s all “freehand”, I simply draw what I see in the supplied photo). The graphite portraits are the least expensive starting at only $75.00, one subject 8×10. My color work consist of the addition of Prismacolor pencil. Color portraits range in price from $150.00, one subject 8×10 to over $500.00 for multi subject 20×30.
